Last Tuesday, I finally got a job. Well, it's just a part-time job actually. It is a tutorial job and almost all of the kids we are tutoring are from Ateneo de Davao Grade School Department. My classmates are also there. For now, we are just three: Carla Duller, Krystelle Anne Bautista and yours truly. At first I am having fun but yesterday, I quite felt that this is my responsibility. It is my duty to let these kids learn. I am currently assigned with a Grade 3 pupil. He is quite slow but capable of understanding. I don't know what happened but he just got poor memory. The challenge now is how to make him understand things easily and with impact to his life. Well, as a matter of fact, we are of total opposite. I am way too talkative that he is. I often doubt if he really understood what we were discussing and so I ended up reviewing him from time to time of what we have learned just a moment ago. It's still way too early to say that he has progressed but as what I see, he is and he will always be as long as I am his tutor.
This job, even though it's a part time, fulfills me. It doesn't really matter if it gives low salary but the thought of helping these children learn is what matters most. The impact you bring to these children is way much significant than that of answering phone calls. Now, the question remains. If I will be hired in the Call Center that I am applying, will I give up this tutorial job?
I want them both actually. Sana magawan ko ng paraan na di maapektuhan ang schedule ko. I'll update soon if I was able to make it.
I know that there's no one reading my posts. Well, I'm just a NOBODY. Just wait, someday, I'll become a SOMEBODY. :))
