Today, March 29, 2010, we (Odel, Dan and I) have taken the 6 sets of examination in Davao Christian High School. The exams were consist of IQ, EQ, Personality and other necessary tests to check if we are capable of being a teacher.
As I enter in the campus, I was really amazed because the school doesn't look like an institution at all. It looked like a shopping mall wherein the spaces were filled with expensive cars and structures were well-built (very commercialized).
Going back, we took the exam from 8:30am until 2:15pm with an hour or less of lunch break. The exams were combination of College Entrance Exam and the Career Exams I took in High School. First set comes, it was very easy. It measured one's logic. Second set was more on testing one's personality. Third was the toughest among the six. Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension and Mathematics were the focus of the test. What? Mathematics? I am major in English by the way. Why do we need to do Mathematics? Odel and I kept on glancing and smiling with each other despite of our far-seating arrangement. Mathematics was last taught during my first year in College, I guess, and for the rest of the years, I was trained and bombarded with English stuffs. So, I can really say that I failed on that part. Fourth was an essay test which was supposed to be interview questions such that of one's strengths and weaknesses. Fifth was an attempt to quantify one's EQ. It was presented through situational analysis. And Lastly, the sixth which was quite easy but too many items. There were 66 phrases that we need to complete. One of the funny phrases there was the "if I feel sexual tendencies..." (LOL) We were put into a situation whether to tell the TRUTH or to tell what is IDEAL and WHOLESOME.:)) Of course, I chose the wholesome so as Odel and Dan.
Whew!! What a day!! TOmorrow, we were asked to drop by Sakya. Odel had a feeling that we will be asked to sign the contract. But I think, I wont sign yet. I will keep on rethinking things over and over again this Holy Week and hopefully, I would end up with the RIGHT decision.
